We have all heard the saying that all it takes is one thing to change your life – one moment, one person, one second. The one defining moment may not always feel or seems good. There is always something to learn. The way we shape and approach each of these defining moments can influence who was are and how we show up in the world.
We have a choice. What do you do when there is a new leader who decides to bring your career to a screeching halt? We could give in and become bitter and angry, but guess what, we are helping them prove that you are the issue. Or we can outline our options, show up and remain positive and create an exit plan. It may take longer than you want, and you may need to dig deep, but don’t let it change who you are.
One moment can also change things for the better. You may be living in complete despair, debt, heartbreak but keep going, because things can change for the better in a second. Do the work to uncover and figure out who you want to be and try to find something each day to keep going. Track your progress. Write out your feelings. Heal. Scream. Cry. Let it out – but never give up.
I will share stories of the ‘ones’ – both good and bad – that have shaped me, changed me, rocked me to my core and offer insights into what helped me along the journey. I fumbled, I tripped, I fell flat on my face, but I kept going. I navigated these experiences with curiosity and I dug deep. My hope is that in sharing these stories and experiences, they can help you navigate through and become Fearlessly Found.
